My daughter is now 8 months old and I have both the Giraffe and the UppaBaby Ciro on different sides of the country. At the time of purchase, the Giraffe was the clear winner for a beautiful, high quality, easy to use high chair and the Ciro was not announced yet. I bought the Giraffe Newborn Set as well and it was amazing to use from the time she was 2 months old, because I could put her in it and keep her at height with me so I could have something to eat - it was a game changer for my day. Love it for that and will keep it for that. However I've just been putting her in its mode for the first time this week after using the Ciro for a few months, and I really dislike the Giraffe now. Compared to the Ciro, it's really difficult to get baby into the Giraffe and get her legs straight and down, and she's not even a big baby like some of the other reviewers. The tray on the giraffe is also substantially flimsier, whereas the Ciro tray I feel like I could lean on it or pull it around by the tray and it would still be secure. As well, the Giraffe max height is an inch or two lower than the Ciro - just slightly enough to seem too low if you're standing next to it, or likely to bump into a table top. It's also nice that the Ciro has no cross bar at the bottom and can slide around a table more easily.
I also find that the buckle system ok the Ciro is a bit easier to use and adjust, though it doesn't have strap covers like the Giraffe does.
Perhaps when she grows she'll use this as a seat without the baby set and I'll like it again. This might be great for newborns and then good again for older toddlers, but I think the Ciro is the better choice from 6 months on.
