Fall Baby Gear Event is Here!

Perfect for small spaces & travelling

Absolutely love this. We live in a small space and I love being able to throw her on the kitchen island in this for her meals. We also used it to help her sit prior to her being able to sit unassisted.

Well constructed and sturdy. My son doesn't seem to mind sitting in it, and it gives me a place to put him while I need to run to the washroom or wash dishes, etc. Biggest plus is that this seat promotes healthy hip development.

This is been my saver my baby has physical disability and every chair I got for her wouldn't give her a good support or keep her straight upseat gives her full control and help her posture. I highly recommend it if you looking for that freedom even if you baby is not sitting up independently.

4.5 Stars

I saw this on instagram in an ad around April 2019. In May 2019, when my son was around 5 months and ready to start sitting up, the ads sold me and I purchased the seat. Snugglebugz was great, I was able to price match and get an additional discount on the seat since the upseat's own website had it on sale. I have to say, I was definitely hyped into buying the seat. Now that I've had it for around 6 months I can write a review.

Pros:

Snugglebugz price matching was great, saved a few extra dollars.

Fast delivery

Easy to set up right out of the box

My son really does enjoy it - at 5-6 months he especially enjoyed just being able to sit upright and see what else was going on. Now at almost 1 year, he uses it daily for mealtimes.

Space saving - I don't really have the floor space for a high chair, so I do like that this comes with a tray for mealtimes.

Easy to clean - wipeable material

Lightweight - we travel with it all the time, doesn't take up too much room.

Great for posture!! - since we've used it since my son could sit up unassisted, he's developed great posture since he sits in it a few times a day for meals etc. Now when he sits on the floor to play etc, we can see that his back is nice and straight and he doesn't slouch.

Cons:

Only 2 colour choices - the red was a bit too much for me, and the gray is a little less peppy for baby items (personal preference really)

Even though I price matched, it's still a bit expensive for a small seat (compared to bumbo etc.)

When I first felt the material it did feel a bit cheap, like foam that I feel might snap. So far it's holding up fine, the material adds to the lightweight aspect, so I'm not sure how it could be made more sturdy.

The tray, once assembled is very difficult to disassemble. Additionally, it scratches very very easily compared to other highchair trays. My son can also now push on it, and it will pop off the middle piece, so I do wish there was a more secure way to keep it on.

Overall, I give it a good rating since it has/is helping my son with posture and is very lightweight and good to travel with. However, around the 7/8 month mark my son had a huge growth spurt and the seat became a bit too tight for him. Since he's started walking, his legs have slimmed out and he's back to using the seat. So based on your baby, the seat may or may not work. A positive but also negative is the buckle is a very firm/hard click, so pro your baby cannot escape, but con it really hurts to get your finger caught in it. Happy to support a canadian company, and I saw that it's since been on dragon's den so great for them!
