Choose the Right Seat

Car seats aren’t one-size-fits-all. Always select a seat that matches your child’s current age, weight & height to ensure maximum safety & comfort.

Keep Straps Snug & Secure

Harness straps should be snug against your child's body, with no slack. You shouldn’t be able to pinch any extra strap material at the shoulders. Properly positioned chest clips should sit at armpit level and moves less than 1 inch.

Use the Tether

When properly installed, the tether can reduce the distance a child’s head moves in a crash by 4–6 inches. This critical safety feature is also required by law for forward-facing car seat installations in Canada.

Rear-Facing as Long as Possible

Keep your child rear-facing until they reach the maximum height or weight limit of the car seat. This position offers the best protection for their developing head, neck & spine.

Proper Install

Proper installation is crucial for safety. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions & your vehicle’s manual. Ensure the seat doesn’t move more than an inch side-to-side or front-to-back.
