The Baby Jogger City Turn Convertible Car Seat features a secure rotating mechanism that allows you to turn the seat 180 degrees with one hand while in rear-facing mode. The unique patented rotation brings your child 10 inches closer to you, and helps you maintain a more upright posture when lifting your child in and out and buckling them into the car seat. The seat smoothly rotates with one hand, then audibly clicks into place for assurance that it is safely secured.

Misleading in-store experience

I just bought this car seat yesterday in-store.
Per the manual, the rear-facing height limit is 43” and 1” below the headrest adjustment handle. The infant inserts can be used up to 15lbs.
The Snugglebugz information placket states rear-facing up to 49. 2”, incorrect! The sales associate told me the infant inserts could be used until 22lbs, also incorrect! And the manufacture date was already 1 year old.
I’m sure it’s still a good seat, but I pulled the trigger seeing the high rear-facing height limit, only to get home and realize I was misled. I thought, great my babe is 19lbs I can still make use of the inserts, nope. And that is a serious difference in height and usage! With a long torso babe, time will tell if I need to buy another rear-facing seat later on. Really disappointing.
The seat itself looks to be great, good recline options, swivel is super nice, rated well in crash tests; so I hate to give such a bad rating but feel it is important for other shoppers to know.

Love it over the competition!

We’ve been loyal to the Baby Jogger brand for car seats and strollers thus far, but I will admit that I thought I was going for a different rotating car seat when I first did my research. I thought I needed a full 360-degree rotation so I didn’t think I’d want this Baby Jogger… until I tried it side-by-side with another rotating seat. This one turns so much easier than the competition! It also brings baby closer to you when turned while others feel further away once they have turned. The fabric feels really nice and soft and cool. The headrest and straps move up and down very easily. The only place I could see them making an adjustment on this seat is the position of the button used to loosen the straps to get baby out - you have to stick your finger in a ways before you find the button, but it’s easy enough and not at all a deal-breaker when compared to how great the rest of the seat is. We have big vehicles and I couldn’t picture myself lifting our baby up at a tough angle with a traditional car seat so I’m so glad we got the rotating one! And, even though it only turns in rear-facing, baby will be old enough to get herself into the seat on her own once she’s forward-facing so that will eliminate the awkward lifting. This is an awesome car seat and I’m so glad we bought it!
