Keenz Wagon Round-Up

Jump to Section

Warmer weather means longer days, endless playground outings, and the occasional bout of wagon envy. It happens. One minute you’re doing a little zone parenting at the playground, the next you see a beautiful (yet rugged!) wagon full of beaming kiddos with some unexpectedly stylish parent guiding it as if it weighed nothing. You look down at your stroller. You sigh.

If this sounds familiar, you just saw a Keenz roll by.

Keenz is considered the Land Rover of luxury stroller wagons...and for good reason. The U.S.-based company offers a wide variety of foldable, all-terrain, and easy-to-move models in trademark designs featuring high-tech materials and top-of-the-line hardware. You’ll find them chock full of conveniences, ranging from insulated cooler compartments and cup holders to blackout shades and reclining seats. Beneath the bells and whistles, Keenz wagons are certified to exceed the highest American safety standards by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association. (OK, so maybe there’s a little Volvo in there.) That’s all to say: they’re the wagons that other wagons wish they were.

That said, it may still be difficult to envision trading your faithful buggy for a luxury wagon if you’ve never used one. But just take a moment to consider which mode outperforms in these common parenting situations:
  • You need to carry your kid (and all their ride-or-dies from the block).

  • You want to pack breakfast, second breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, and evening juice boxes.

  • You would like to mark your territory on the beach with a “home base”.

  • The family dog refuses to leave your child’s side and goes everywhere with them.

  • The nearest washrooms are a mile away and you need a diaper change station pronto.

The added capacity for both passengers and gear can make wagons the superior choice in many situations, especially if you’re slugging it out for an entire day and need the gear to match. They’re also incredibly portable, with folded dimensions rivalling most strollers. Then there’s the fun factor — kids love them! Hard to argue with that.

If you’re feeling ready to explore the world of luxury stroller wagons, we’ve listed a few of our favourite Keenz models below. Feel free to dig into their features and specifications to see which one might be right for you.

Superior Comfort

  • Recommended Age: 6+ months
  • Weight Capacity: 216 lbs.
  • Passenger Weight Limit: Up to 55 lbs.
  • Wagon Weight: 46 pounds
  • Open Dimensions: 37” L x 20” W x 57” H (26.5”W including wheels)
  • Folded Dimensions: 45” H x 20” W x 26” L

The Keenz XC 2 Passenger Stroller Wagon offers incredible luxury for up to two passengers. It’s a smooth ride thanks to all-terrain wheels and spring suspension, with added comfort from mesh sides with airflow. Storage compartments and reclining cushioned seats are easily removed/added on for versatility. The XC even features a snack tray and a canopy system with black-out rolling curtains (no sun burns here). There are a few perks for us parents, too: dual leather handlebars and a safety rating worth writing home about (plus reflective panels) are worth the peace of mind. Your kids won’t want to leave, and… sometimes that’s totally OK.

Take the Whole Crew

  • Recommended Age: 6+ months
  • Weight Capacity: 326 lbs.
  • Passenger Weight Limit: Up to 55 lbs.
  • Wagon Weight: 54 lbs.
  • Open Dimensions: 47” L x 23” W x 57” H (29.5” W including wheels)
  • Folded Dimensions: 48” H x 23” W x 29” L

The next step up, Keenz’s XC+4 Passenger Stroller Wagon lets you take up to four (!) kids on an adventure of a lifetime (or three and the family doggo). It has many of the same features as the XC, plus about 50 percent more carrying capacity at the expense of adding the weight of a gallon of milk. We’ll take it!

Heavy Duty

  • Recommended Age: 6+ months
  • Weight Capacity: 326 lbs.
  • Passenger Weight Limit: Up to 55 lbs.
  • Wagon Weight: 54 lbs.
  • Open Dimensions: 47” L x 23” W x 57” H (29.5” W including wheels)
  • Folded Dimensions: 48” H x 23” W x 29” L

The Keenz XC+ Luxury Comfort Stroller Wagon is an equally fully loaded version of the XC+, with an extra colourway (black) added to the mix. While the specs are the same, it features four raised seats that can easily be converted to safely accommodate a single passenger — perfect for a growing family.

The Original

  • Recommended Age: 12+ months
  • Weight Capacity: 300 lbs.
  • Passenger Weight Limit: Up to 55 lbs.
  • Wagon Weight: 33 lbs.

The 7S 2.0 2 Passenger Stroller Wagon is an updated version of the luxury stroller wagon model that started it all. Price-conscious parents, take note: this one comes at a lower price point than other models but is just as big on features. A peaked, removable canopy offers little ones a panoramic view, while removable storage options include a cooler, storage basket, and ventilated shoe storage for those splash-pad-soaked runners. It’s also this round-up’s lightest model by far, thanks to a durable aluminum frame.

The Bigger OG

  • Weight capacity: 300 lbs.
  • Passenger weight limit: Up to 55 lbs.
  • Wagon weight: 51 lbs.
  • Open dimensions: 38”L x 25”W x 47”H (33”W including wheels)
  • Folded dimensions: 33” H x 25” W x 19” L

As the name implies, the Keenz 7S+ 4 Passenger Stroller Wagon shares many of the features of its more modestly sized cousin and increases carrying capacity by two passengers. Additions include a more generous cabin and extra storage (including internal pockets for the kids). If an additional 18 pounds doesn’t sound daunting, this is our pick for moving the whole crew.

There’s rolling in style, and then there’s Keenz. Their top-of-the-line wagons are built to last with every convenience in mind.

When looking at these wagons many similarities are apparent. All of them boast all-terrain wheels to tackle any terrain, have tons of storage options to tow your essentials, feature leatherette handle bars for a touch of class, snack and cup holders to keep the troops happy, and removable canopy systems to protect your precious cargo on sunny days (just to name a few). All of these wagons also have JPMA stroller certification, including 5-point harnesses, so you know your kiddos will be safe and sound.

But like your family’s needs, every wagon is unique. Each of these wagons has subtle differences that might make them the perfect one for you. So go take a closer look! No matter which you go with, you’ll be turning heads in no time.
