UPPAbaby Vista Stroller FAQs
Jump to Section
First of all, did you ever expect strollers to require so much planning?
We know, they’re confusing, and there is definitely a learning curve — we hope this helps! Check out more of our Learning Centre articles for our reviews on all kinds of baby gear like more strollers, playards, and car seats.
Still have questions? Send us an email and we’d be happy to provide you with additional information. Now, let's get into the Vista V3 by UPPAbaby!
Definitions:
TODDLER SEAT:
Included with your Vista V3 purchase & goes on the top of the stroller. No adapters are required to use this seat on its own. The maximum weight limit on the toddler seat is 50 lbs. We love that the V3 not only comes with the toddler seat with seasonal seat liner, but also a rain shield, bug shield, and storage bag.
RUMBLESEAT:
This is an additional seat that is sold separately to turn your Vista V3 into a double stroller. The RumbleSeat goes only on the bottom of the stroller. The maximum weight limit on the RumbleSeat is 40 lbs (that's 5 lbs more than the Vista V2 Rumbleseat)!
While the Vista V2 came with a bassinet, it is a separate purchase for the Vista V3, giving you more flexibility in your stroller setup (and potentially saving you money if you don’t need/want a bassinet).
UPPER ADAPTERS:
Raises the Toddler Seat, Bassinet or car seat (Mesa V2 Infant Car Seat or Aria) up to create more space between 2 children. Upper Adapters do NOT accept the RumbleSeat.
LOWER ADAPTERS:
Allow you to add a Bassinet, Mesa V2 or Aria to the bottom of the stroller. You do NOT need lower adapters if you are only planning to use the RumbleSeat on the bottom of the stroller.
RUMBLESEAT ADAPTERS:
These adapters are included with your RumbleSeat purchase and are not sold separately. They are not compatible with Toddler Seat, Bassinet, Aria, or Mesa car seats.
Common Questions:
Can I put my bassinet on top when using in double mode?
No. When the Vista V3 is being used in double mode, the bassinet must go on the bottom using the lower adapters, and the Toddler Seat must go on the top using the upper adapters.
Can I purchase a V2 or V3 canopy and attach it to my Vista?
No, the canopies are not sold separately.
Will a newer model RumbleSeat fit on my older model Vista?
The RumbleSeat V2+ and Vista V3 RumbleSeat are compatible with both the Vista V2 and V3 strollers. The V2 RumbleSeat will fit onto 2015+ Vista Models. The original RumbleSeat will not fit on a V2 or V3 though.
What is the difference between the “Toddler Seat” and the “RumbleSeat”?
The Toddler Seat is the seat that comes with the stroller and is slightly bigger than the RumbleSeat. The Toddler Seat can hold up to 50 lbs, while the RumbleSeat can hold up to 40 lbs (35 lbs for V2 or earlier models). The RumbleSeat is sold separately and the 2 seats are NOT interchangeable. The RumbleSeat can be used only on the bottom of the stroller and not on top.
I am expecting twins, what do I need?
If you are expecting twins and want to use the stroller from birth with car seats AND bassinets, you will need:
- Vista stroller
- 2 x Bassinets
- RumbleSeat
- Lower Adapters
- Upper Adapters
-
2 x Mesa V2 or Aria Infant Car Seats
Please note: If you are getting a Vista V2, it comes with one Bassinet, so you will only need to purchase one additional one.
Are the RumbleSeat adapters that come in the RumbleSeat box and the lower adapters the same thing?
No, the RumbleSeat adapters are compatible with ONLY the RumbleSeat. The RumbleSeat will not fit onto the lower adapters. The lower adapters are for a bassinet or Mesa car seat only. The RumbleSeat cannot go on the top of the stroller.
Will a new UPPAbaby Mesa car seat fit onto my old Vista?
Not without adapters. If you have a Vista stroller from 2014 or previous years, you will have to reach out directly to UPPAbaby and request they send you a set of adapters to make a Mesa compatible with it. The Mesa car seat and Aria will click directly onto the frame of 2015+ Vista/V2/V3 strollers [no adapters necessary].
I do not want to use an Aria or Mesa car seat, but I still want the Vista stroller - do I have any options for different car seat brands to create a travel system? YES! You can purchase an adapter separately to make a variety of infant car seats compatible with your Vista stroller. However, aside from the Nuna/Maxi-Cosi/Cybex infant car seats, these adapters do not allow you to use the RumbleSeat and can only be used in single mode.
Nuna/Maxi-Cosi/Cybex seats require: UB-0919-UMA-WW
Nuna/Maxi-Cosi/Cybex seats on the bottom [for twins for example], require this adapter.
Peg Perego seats require: UB-0207 or this one for 2015+ onwards.
Chicco seats require: UB-0156
Clek Liing requires this adapter.
*Note: Clek has conducted their own compliance testing independent of UPPAbaby for the Clek Liing to be compatible with UPPAbaby strollers.
*These adapters all pass Canadian safety standards, however slight back and forth movement of the infant car seat may occur. This is to be expected and is not a risk factor as long as the infant car seat cannot be removed without pressing on the release on the car seat [release points vary by car seat].
