Top Double Strollers of 2024
Jump to Section
We know you’re here for all things strollers, but let us drop some amazing science on you real quick before we get back to our regular programming. Did you know the number of twins born around the world has increased by a third since 1980 (according to a 2021 report)? That’s a whopping 1.6 million pairs of twins born every year!
Fellow parents and parents-to-be, tell us: How do you like your odds?
No family expects the surprises that can come with a two-for-one deal. Twice the laughs, twice the frowns. Twice the snacks, twice the diapers. Thankfully, some things may actually feel easier when you’re dealing with doubles. (Promise!) Clothing choices, for example? Matching pairs, obviously. Did we mention you only have one birthday party to plan?
Of course, it’s not just #TwinFamilies having all the fun — many folks with multiple little ones know the wonders (and challenges) of raising kids so close in age.
Should you be lucky enough to find yourself in a double-trouble situation, our experience has taught us that few items can simplify your life more than having a proper double stroller at your disposal.
What is a Double Stroller?
As the name suggests, double strollers are designed to accommodate two children at the same time.
There are two main types: side-by-side and convertible.
Side-by-side double strollers are purpose-built for the job, allowing you to individually recline, rearrange and remove seats to accommodate your little passengers. They can be less bulky and more maneuverable than you think! Most of the time, these strollers are set up for two passengers and can’t be turned into a single stroller.
Convertible strollers, on the other hand, can be expanded from one to two seats – often in a tandem configuration, with one stacked on top of the other. Their versatility makes convertible strollers a great fit for growing families. (This article digs deeper into the differences between the two stroller types.)
Today, we’ll be focusing on the former category. Keep reading for our breakdown of the best side-by-side double strollers of the year.
