Similar Strollers
These two baby rides share many fantastic features that make them stand out in the crowded stroller market. Here are the similarities that make them both worth considering:
Lightweight:
Both the TRVL LX and YOYO³ are designed with the modern parent in mind. They are incredibly lightweight, making them easy to maneuver, even in tight spaces.
Travel System Compatible:
These strollers can both be turned into a travel system. The TRVL LX is only compatible with Nuna infant car seats (but doesn’t require an adapter), while the YOYO³ can be used with infant car seats from Clek, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi, and Nuna, with this adapter.
Full Suspension:
Both strollers provide a smooth and comfortable ride for your little one, thanks to their full suspension systems. Whether you're strolling on city sidewalks or bumpy paths, your baby will enjoy a gentle ride.
Price:
Price-conscious parents will be pleased to know that these strollers are similar in price, with the YOYO³ retailing just under $700 and the TRVL LX for $750. It's a great value considering their features!
Easy To Clean:
Parenting can get messy, but cleaning is a breeze with these strollers. The TRVL LX is water repellent so spills and messes can be wiped away, while the YOYO³ is machine washable to make it look good as new!
Airflow:
The TRVL LX includes a ventilation panel between the seat and canopy, providing extra airflow to keep your little one comfortable on warm days. The
YOYO³ accomplishes this with a closable mesh ventilation window on the back of seat and perforated backrest and seat area.
Canopy UPF 50+:
Sun protection is a must, and both strollers offer a UPF 50+ canopy to keep your little one shielded from harmful UV rays during your outdoor adventures.
The YOYO³' has an extendable waterproof canopy with a closable peek-a-boo window on top so you can keep an eye on your little one, while the TRVL LX has a water-repellant extendable canopy with mesh panel.
Recline:
Both strollers provide multiple recline positions, allowing your child to rest comfortably on the go. However, the TRVL LX features Shadow reel recline which provides one-handed, customizable recline adjustments with more upright options.
Leather Bar:
Adding a touch of luxury, both strollers feature a grippy vegan-leather wrap on their handle for that extra bit of style and comfort.
Carrying Bag:
Worried about damaging your stroller during travel? Don’t! Both come with a convenient travel bag, ensuring your stroller stays in pristine condition while you're on the move.

Daring Differences
Of course, these strollers also have their unique features and differences that can make or break your buying decision:
Sizes:
The
YOYO³ is not only lighter but also smaller compared to the TRVL LX.
Folding:
The TRVL LX offers the convenience of one-handed folding with a simple touch, while the
YOYO³ requires a few extra steps to collapse it.
Travel Compliant:
Both strollers are designed for travel, but only the
YOYO³ can fit in the overhead bin on most flights, giving it an edge in terms of portability.
Early Years:
The TRVL LX is newborn friendly without any additional accessories. It features a near-flat recline and a calf support that can be raised to transform the seat into a carriage. To make the YOYO³ appropriate for newborns you will need to purchase a bassinet add-on (called the Newborn Pack). As mentioned earlier, both strollers can also accommodate newborns in compatible infant car seats as well.
Harness:
The TRVL LX features a no-rethread harness and magnetic buckle for easy adjusting and access, whereas the
YOYO³ has a standard 5-point harness.
Head Cushion & Seatback:
The YOYO³ features a built-in head cushion and taller seatback for extra comfort (18.5" vs. the TRVL LX's 16.7).
Basket Capacity:
The
YOYO³ offers a significantly larger under seat basket capacity, holding up to 22 lbs., while the TRVL LX can carry up to 10 lbs.
Colours:
If you're all about style, the
YOYO³ has the upper hand with multiple colours to choose from, whereas the TRVL LX only comes in two.
Footrest:
For added calf support, the TRVL LX boasts an adjustable footrest, a feature not found on the
YOYO³.
Extra Storage:
The YOYO³ features a zippered pocket on the seatback and a convenient mesh pouch on the bottom of the seat.
Fold Position:
The TRVL LX stands vertically when folded to save space, while the
YOYO³ lays flat.
Carry Handle:
The
YOYO³ includes a padded mesh carry strap to sling the stroller over your shoulder during transport, whereas the bumper bar on the TRVL LX doubles as its carrying handle when folded.

The Verdict…
The Nuna TRVL LX and Stokke YOYO³ both have a lot of similar features parents will love. Having said that, they also share some pretty stark differences that will likely influence which stroller works best for you and your family.
With the TRVL LX you get a slightly more robust frame, newborn capabilities without any accessories, the ability to snap on the PIPA car seat seamlessly, a no-rethread harness, and an adjustable footrest for extra comfort. However, the TRVL LX won't fit in many overhead airline bins.
The YOYO³ offers a slightly smaller (and lighter) frame, overhead bin compatibility, more storage, is available in multiple colours, and has a convenient carry strap. However, folding up the YOYO³ is a slightly more convoluted process.
But the bottom line is that Nuna and Stokke have both made excellent and high-quality travel strollers that can fit most families’ needs. Which one is best for you and your little one?
