Safety protocols recommend keeping children rear-facing for as long as possible as they are less likely to sustain injuries should a collision occur. On that note, it’s a real benefit that babies in the Sirona S car seat can be rear-facing all the way up to 50 lbs.
Another safety feature this car seat touts is a load leg, which secures the seat in its upright position and reduces crash forces should you ever get into an accident. The load leg can be extended to accommodate higher seats in SUVs and trucks. When not in use, it can be safely tucked away, out of sight.

Once you’re done, simply rotate the seat back into position — an indicator lets you know when it is properly locked into place.
Because of this nifty rotating feature, the Sirona S is the only convertible car seat in North America with a one-time vehicle belt installation for both rear-facing and forward-facing modes.
SENSORSAFE TECHNOLOGY
If that weren't enough, this car seat also boasts SensorSafe technology.SensorSafe transmits a signal from a sensor clip on the car seat’s harness to the SensorSafe app, which you download on your phone/smart device. This innovative technology can alert you to several potentially dangerous situations.
We are all too familiar with stories of family members unknowingly leaving children in cars and the dangers that can ensue. Well, SensorSafe technology can help prevent this from happening. If you break the Bluetooth connection (you are too far away from the car) and the car seat is still buckled, you will be sent an alert informing you have left your child unattended in the car. If you do not respond to the alert, it can then send alerts to other family members that are signed up for the app.
In addition, SensorSafe will also inform you if:
- Your child unbuckles their harness
- Your child is exposed to a dangerous temperature
